Founded on September 1, 2011, DARE to LOVE Sports Club is a nonprofit organization that is focused on strengthening our community and children through our core virtues of DARE and the values of LOVE. DARE stands for: Discipline, Attitude, Respect and Effort

We believe that through the process of promoting good discipline, attitude, respect and e
ffort one needs to be taught humility through the basics of listening, obeying and volunteering everyday. Mahaney's description of a humble athlete in his book 'Don't Waste Your Sports':
1. "A humble athlete recognizes his limitations" - limitations are to humble us.
2. "A humble athlete welcomes critiques and correction from coaches and teammates" - being humble does not mean that you are weak, rather it reflects how knowledgeable you are about yourself. We need to improve, so we want others to show us where and how.
3. "A humble athlete acknowledges the contribution of others" - it is important to realize that no athlete can accomplish anything alone.
4. "A humble athlete is gracious in defeat and modest in victory" - humble athletes recognizes that his/her opponents played better when he/she loses and congratulates them for their win. When humble athletes wins, he/she realizes that victory is a gift from all their hard work; no pain, no gain.
5. "A humble athlete honours their coach" - it is important to express gratitude towards coaches and to accept roles that has been appointed to you by your coaches; you get what you get and you don't get upset!
6. "A humble athlete respects the officials" - your attitude is a reflection of not only yourself, but also your coaches. Be mindful of your actions and remember who and what you represent.
7. "A humble athlete gives glory for all his athletic accomplishment to God" - DARE to LOVE Sports is strongly driven by our faith and it is through our faith that we are able to teach, inspire and encourage others about the virtues and values of DARE and LOVE. We believe that in teaching children the virtues of DARE and the values of LOVE, we are planting the seed of humility in each of our athlete. We may not be there for the harvest, but we like to believe that our seeds of DARE and LOVE would spread in other communities and not just our own. Ultimately, teachability and humility is key to being successful and intelligent social beings. We DARE you to teach, inspire and encourage LOVE in your home and community.
