In honour of our 35th Annual Meeting today, we wanted to give you a little look at the history within our walls. 🏡

Built in 1922, Armagh began as a family home. It was originally built by a husband for his family and was named “Armagh” in honour of his wife, who was from County Armagh, Ireland.

From its creaky floors to its arched doorways, we’re reminded that this place has held a lot of history. What started as a home for one family has become a place where many women and children have found safety, support, and a place to begin again. 🤍

On Thursday, March 5, Armagh had the privilege of joining the Brampton community at the InspiHer Gala to celebrate women in the days leading up to International Women’s Day.

This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” came to life through a room filled with passionate leaders and changemakers who believe in the power of lifting women up. Together, we raised over $13,000 to support women at Armagh as they rebuild their lives with safety, dignity, and hope.

Because of this generosity, women at Armagh will gain access to essential supports — a comfortable bed to rest in, a laptop to pursue education or employment, and programs and counselling to help heal and move forward.

When a community comes together with purpose and compassion, the impact is truly powerful. Thank you to the Brampton Board of Trade and the entire Brampton community for wrapping their arms around Armagh and embodying the true spirit of Give to Gain. 💜

Thanks to the generous support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation , Armagh now has a new roof! eliminating leaks and weather damage and creating a safe, stable, energy-efficient home for all of our families.
