This is the only photo we managed to take at yesterday’s wonderful community barbecue in Erindale Park, hosted by Our Place Peel and REST Centres—two organizations doing vital work for youth and young adults in our community.

Apologies for the quality of the photo. It simply does not capture the vibrant atmosphere, the music, the energy or the wonderful sense of community that was present throughout the event.

Our sincere appreciation goes to all the staff and volunteers whose commitment and compassion help ensure that young people in our communities feel safe, supported and heard—and, most importantly, that they continue to have hope for a brighter future here in Ontario and across Canada.

Thank you to Our Place Peel and Rest Centres for a joyful and meaningful afternoon—and for the essential work you do throughout the year.

One of the nicest parts of getting the word out about our **Community Impact 50/50 Raffle** has been simply getting out into the community.

Over the past few days, I had the pleasure of visiting several local churches and places of worship to ask if they would display one of our raffle posters. It was such an easy and genuinely pleasant experience. Everywhere I went, I met kind and welcoming people who were happy to help support an initiative benefiting organizations that serve people right here in our community.

Our churches and places of worship do so much more than gather people for services — they help bring together the spirit of our community through kindness, fellowship and a willingness to help others.

A sincere **thank you** to the eight churches that welcomed me and agreed to help us spread the word. I've tagged them here with our appreciation.

It was a wonderful reminder of just how much goodwill there is in our community. ❤️

On Tuesday, we visited Our Place Peel, a registered non-profit agency that provides shelter, support and hope for homeless and at-risk youth aged 16-24 in the Region of Peel. We were able to meet Christy Upshall, CEO, and other members of their amazing staff, tour their facility, and present to them a donation cheque from Knights 12372 Charitable Foundation.

What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them?
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.

James 2:14-18
