A damaged home. More than 70 children. A determination to keep learning.

In 2024, The Power of Sharing helped a family evacuate Gaza through the Rafah border crossing. A mother and her daughters escaped the horrors of genocide, but the father, Mr. Fateh, was unable to leave.

For more than two years, Brother Fateh has struggled to survive while helping others whenever he can. Separated from his family, he lives with the fear of bombardment and the pain of watching his community go without basic necessities.

Yet even amid this suffering, there is a determination to give children hope. His friend has offered his partially destroyed home as a makeshift school for more than 70 students—a place where children can learn, connect, and find moments of relief from the fear and pain surrounding them.

Their resilience deserves more than admiration. It deserves support. The Power of Sharing is supporting this initiative and working to help Brother Fateh turn the damaged home into a functional learning space.

These children deserve opportunities to learn, even amid devastation. Their education cannot wait for the world to care. Please stand with us as we help this community keep learning and hope alive.

A nation with 97.9 literacy is been victim of genocide. These makeshift shelters where life has been humiliated but the hope and perseverance still remain.
