NEW Youth Opportunity - Register with the link in bio 🔗

Are you interested in green jobs and renewable energy? The Solar Installation training course teaches participants (ages 18-30) the fundamentals of solar energy systems. Participants learn the basics of electricity and solar energy, complete workplace safety and training certifications and gain hands-on experience installing solar panels using industry tools and practices.

When? December 7-11, full days

Back by popular demand is our annual pumpkin carving event! RSVP with the link in bio 🔗

Please select the appropriate ticket option when registering for your ticket:
Individual, Couples/Pairs or Group!

1 pumpkin will be provided per group/pair, with all materials provided, while pumpkins last. We look forward to seeing you soon and making this pumpkins season a blast!

Donations of $5 per pumpkin are encouraged to support program costs! We will accept cash, e-transfer and tap at the event. Thank you for making these community events possible however you are able to contribute.

Today, September 30, is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This day honours the survivors of the residential school system in Canada, their families and communities and opens the floor for meaningful discussion about the effects they have left.

Wednesday, September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. On this day we wear an orange shirt in honour of survivors of residential schools, which took Indigenous children from their family and culture. Let’s spend the day listening to Indigenous voices, learning the history and reflecting with care.

Heart Comonos is on Treaty 13, the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Anishinaabe, the Attiwonderonk, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendake-Nionwentsïo peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We recognize these peoples and their ancestors as peoples who inhabited these lands since time immemorial. You can learn more about the land we are on at native-land.ca! Let’s continue being stewards together.

Volleyball, good food and more!

Join us this Wednesday, September 30th at 7PM for our monthly Cooksville Community Potluck!

We will be playing volleyball on the recreation court, have games inside and enjoy good food and company with each other. Please bring a dish, dessert or salad if you are able to support our community.
