Meet Sabrina!
Sabrina was bottom of the pecking order (literally) in her home. The family felt she was going to be seriously injured or killed if they left her in with their flock, but at the same time had nowhere else to keep her.
Sabrina was surrendered to us today, luckily we were able to make room, fast. She unfortunately also has bumblefoot so will remain in quarantine for the entire 30 days while she heals. Sabrina is safe and has a whole indoor room to herself. She is a good eater and seems pretty happy with her new life. Hopefully her new feathers will come in and by the time she's ready to be introduced to our barnyard hens she will look and feel brand new!
We would really love a bunch of donations for our girl...we are hoping for sheets. Flat flannel sheets are best but we will accept any sheets anyone has kicking around! Please email [email protected] for donation collection locations ❤️

Surrey Animal Resource Centre sent us Darwin back in the fall of 2024. Darwin needed a number of medical issues addressed (and requires significant ongoing care). Darwin has both food and environmental allergies and his personality can be...challenging 😉
He loves suntanning on the sundeck. He loves barking too. At the SAINTS sanctuary he is free to do both at his leisure.

Sheep, like our girl Peep, require shearing. This is not only done for the prevention of overheating in warm weather, but also provides us the opportunity to really check the flocks skin condition. Unshorn wool traps moisture and manure and we have to stay on top of parasite prevention.
No doubt Peep feels tons better without her wool in the summer, and in the winter it acts as natural insulation.

In our continuing effort to promote our "The Amazing Raise 2026" Campaign we are going to tell the story of Lennieour Team Captain of the Lettuce Brigade . If this is your first time hearing about the campaign, you can read more here: https://petfundr.com/amazingraise2026
*******
Lennie’s journey to SAINTS began November 2024, when they were found abandoned outside our gates in a plastic crate. Their nails were severely overgrown, and it was clear they had gone without proper care for far too long. Our staff discovered them during routine perimeter checks — a practice we’ve had to adopt because situations like this occur far too often for vulnerable animals.

Despite the circumstances they came from, Lennie is gentle, calm, and remarkably trusting. They settled into sanctuary life with quiet resilience, reminding us how essential safe refuge is for animals who have nowhere else to go.

Today, Lennie is receiving the medical oversight, stability, and compassion they will rely on for the rest of their life. They are safe, valued, and and finally home.

Your support during The Amazing Raise makes stories like Lennie’s possible. Every gift ensures that animals who arrive in crisis receive immediate care, and that those who cannot be adopted have a lifelong sanctuary where they are protected and loved.

If you’re someone who is “green‑motivated” — whether that means you love lettuce, love the environment, or simply love giving vulnerable animals a second chance — Lennie invites you to support the Lettuce Liberation Front. https://petfundr.com/lettuceliberation

Meet our newest Saint!
This is Magnolia. Magnolia was found as a stray in early April. She was taken to the Coquitlam animal shelter. She was emaciated (BCS of only 2/9). She had f***l matter caked around her ulcerated a**s with an infestation of maggots 🤢. The vet notes state "There is a severe, extensive and raw open wound covering the entire perineal region". Can you imagine? She clearly has some kind of trauma happen but we don't know what. She does not have control of her bowels at all and cannot empty her bladder. She can p*e, she just doesn't seem to able to fully empty. Magnolia is missing almost all of her teeth, the vet noted severe dental disease, which seems extreme for a 12 ish year old cat. For the last month the staff at the Coquitlam shelter have worked really hard to get Magnolia healed. We will get her X-rays and exam done this week for more information.

She is very sweet and affectionate! We are glad we are in a position to help her 💖

Buddy was featured a few weeks ago as a post. We are happy to update that our boy from Sammy's Forgotten Felines has healed nicely from his first teca-bo surgery. Next up is a major dental surgery, then the second teca-bo. Buddy is a staff and volunteer favourite! So much personality in this little body 🥰
