A registered charity, specializing in special needs/surrendered/abandoned cats at risk of euthanasia. We are located in the greater Vancouver area.

Cat Therapy and Rescue Society is a registered charity with Canada Revenue Agency. The rescue takes in cats that are turned away from other shelters due to a lack of space or to be euthanized, we work closely with other rescues and also take in abandoned cats off the streets. Our goal is to help save lives and put them in forever loving homes and to fix as many cats as we can to prevent the unnecessary overpopulation. All cats being adopted out are fixed and vetted beforehand or on an agreement when they are of age.

Please regularly check your cats nails. They should be trimmed if indoors.

Poor Sasha came to us with a horribly ingrown nail in her foot. It welt so deep causing a large would and infection that needed surgery to repair.

We have seen many cats especially senior cats with nails grown into their feet.

This swet girl will be up for adoption soon, she is sadly one of many cats wothout a foster home to recover in. 😿

Please donate or foster of you can ❤️

Thank you Tisol Pet Nutrition & Supply Stores for their amazing donation from the PAW event! 🎉

It went direct to paying off an even larger Vet bill 😳

We are so thankful for those who support us and make saving lives possible.

In 2025 our total vet expenses were $293,590.56 and this year are likely to surpass that 😿

We need HELP! Please share

We are at the point of having to close our doors to intakes simply because we do not have enough foster homes to continue.

Please consider opening up your home to Foster and save a life. We provide all the medical care and supplies you need.

We need Foster’s who can…
-give meds if needed
-surgery recovery like spay neuter
-drive to our vets (burnaby, langley or abby)
-minimum 3 kittens or 1 adult
-have separate space from other pets (bathroom, pen etc)

Pictured below it is a very sweet boy Sanders, who had been on the streets a majority of his life. We were able to save him because he had a foster and now he’s happily adopted ❤️

From one persons trash to another persons Treasure!

Sweet Ari came to us nearly 7 years ago after his owner died and was adopted to what we thought it was as forever family however they decided to return him after he had been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism even though we had offered to treat him for the owners.

This sweet, gentle boy has undergone his iodine treatment and going to be part of our forever Foster program where we cover all his medical needs and food for life! We had a very lovely senior reach out to us stating that they would love to provide him a home, but were hesitant to get another Cat due to the financial aspect of Pet ownership so this was a perfect match!

We stand by our cats for life and with donations can make these types of happy endings possible for everyone ❤️

If you would like to donate to make things like this possible and support Ari in his life journey medical care as he approaches his golden years.
