As a newer cheerleading program in Miramichi, we understand how much it means to build a sport from the ground up and create opportunities for local athletes.

We want to show our support for Miramichi Gymnastics as they search for a permanent home. Gymnastics is one of the most demanding sports in the world, requiring incredible strength, flexibility, coordination, discipline, and dedication. It serves a large number of athletes in our community, primarily girls but also many boys, and provides opportunities that help build confidence, resilience, and lifelong skills.

While we are grateful that cheerleading was able to find a space to grow, we know firsthand how important it is for youth sports organizations to have access to suitable facilities. Communities thrive when a variety of sports are available for children and families.

We hope a solution can be found so gymnastics can continue to grow and inspire the next generation of athletes in Miramichi. 💙

We are so excited to officially share that River Force Cheer Academy has purchased TWO new cheer mats for our athletes!

This would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community.

Through a $3,080 Community Development Grant from the City of Miramichi, along with the amazing generosity and support from local businesses, families, and community members, we were able to take a huge step forward for our athletes and growing program.

A special thank you to:

💙 The City of Miramichi for believing in and supporting youth recreation and community growth through this grant opportunity.

🍕 Pizza Salvatore Miramichi for generously donating $600 through their February Tuesday fundraiser, where 15% of pizza sales were donated back to River Force Cheer Academy.

🎄 Addisyn & Dawn Wallace for creating River Force Christmas ornaments and donating $200 of their profits back to our program.

💙 Greg & Jessica Sargent for their $100 donation in support of our athletes.

💙 Every River Force family and community member who supported our Pizza Salvatore fundraiser by ordering pizza on Tuesdays in February.

These mats are more than just equipment, they are an investment into our athletes’ safety, development, confidence, and future opportunities in cheerleading here in Miramichi. As our program continues to grow, these mats will help us safely progress skills, expand opportunities, and continue building something special for local youth.

And we’re not done yet! 🌊

We will continue fundraising toward purchasing additional mats and equipment through our Year-End Showcase flower sales, bake sale table, pizza sales for athletes during showcase day, ongoing bottle drives, and more fundraising opportunities to come.

♻️ Bottles can be donated anytime to our account at Herbert’s Bottle Exchange, or we can arrange pickup.

As River Force continues to grow, we will continue working hard, volunteering, fundraising, and building opportunities for youth in our community together.

Thank you again to everyone in our community who continues to believe in, support, and encourage our athletes and program. Your support truly means more than you know. 💙🌊
