We still have a bear problem in town so please be aware of your surroundings.. If you are taking your dog out for a p*e or walk after dark please be careful.. There was a trap in town but noticed tonight it was not there now, so I am unaware if they moved it to a new location or they caught a bear and we still have another around.... This photo was around 4pm I was told on 2nd Ave east of learners. ..

The bear that was spotted on a yard on bud Road yesterday morning is still hanging around.. I recieves a message this morning that he was in the teacks on road 212 just west of the old campground. AT 2:00 I caught him in my spotlight running across Second Ave Just before the closed bridge.. BE VIGILANT PEOPLE WHEN WALKING OUT YOUR DOOR INTO YOUR YARD.. TRY TO KEEP GARBAGE AND SUCH ATTRACTENTS SEALED AWAY.. He seems to really like to hang around...

4:05 am all you hear are the birds, the low humm of generators around town still pumping water out of crawl spaces and basements... Such a contrast to the buzz of activity you hear all day long, as my community continues to dig out and tries to recover from the catastrophe that hit us a mere 8 days ago... Everyone has pulled together like one big family... But every family seems to have that one black sheep... Ours is stealing gas and personal items from us in our worste possible moment.. So you may have seen me with a spotlight driving around tonight, just out looking for our little lost sheep, no one likes to be alone... Minitonas is a strong community and we have shown everyone that in the past few days. WE WILL BOUNCE BACK FROM THIS STRONGER THEN WE EVER WERE... We will be doing a Town Clean up this year date yet to be determined as we would like it to dry up some more.. But a concern was brought to my attention this evening that the route the kids walk to school was littered with medicine bottles and smoke pack so myself and Brooklynn another member went over and got it cleaned up before the kids are walking to school Monday... If you see anything like this please dont hesitate to get ahold of us....
