Jennifer (the horse;) suffers from a neuromuscular condition that causes her front legs to tremble uncontrollably when lifted off the ground (similar to Equine Shivers). So when the farrier comes to visit it’s imperative that Jennifer (the human) assist the farrier with supporting her legs during the trim so she feels comfortable and supported. …A big hug from Tony and shoulder to lean on helps a lot too.
At Walkabout every horse has a story and as with our program participants we adapt to each individual’s needs.
