This track may interest some folks. This past Friday I took a ride up around the Mersey Windfarm site on my bicycle. Currently there is much construction in progress on the roads, substation and power line. Pls see attached track and photos.

4 club members paddled a meandering stillwater yesterday. Very nice adventure, a few blackflies, low wind conditions, a few turtle sightings.

Last evening, 11 hearty souls disembarked from the club on the 1st member paddle of the season. There was a cool south easterly breeze blowing up the river which made for challenging conditions however all managed well. The cookies, treats and conversation afterwards in the warm clubhouse made for a nice conclusion.

Today was all about the GARBAGE. Thanks so much to the folks who came out to help. We collected about 60 bags of garbage. Fifteen Milton Canoe and Camera Club members took up to 6 hours to complete! Also thanks to all who honked their horns and stopped to talk. What a mountain of GARBAGE!!

The steps were finally rebuilt at the club today. It's been a long time coming. The crushed stone was compliments of Charles P Ingram Construction, thanks again for the support Philip.

Community Litter Collection is a GO for Saturday May 16. Folks will meet at Gull Island Road at 9:00 am. Waiver forms for participants must be signed and returned on Wed. May13th. Please reach out for forms if you plan on attending. TEXT 902-350-2476 for details.

The Community Litter Collection planned for 9 May will be postponed since ROQ hasn’t finalized funding approvals for collections. If it’s too lengthy an approval process, we may cancel altogether as the foliage, and ticks will be hazard concerns. Stay tuned for an update.

This coming Saturday, May 9 @9:00, we are tentatively planning a club Community Litter Collection. At this point it will be conducted on the #3 Hwy between Liverpool and White Point. Details to follow pending permits. This could be a good fundraiser for the club.
