Milton Canoe and Camera Club We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and enjoyment of canoeing and photography on the shores of the Mersey River in Milton N.S.

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and enjoyment of canoeing and photography. Our canoe club brings paddlers together to provide a safe and fun paddling experience for children and adults of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Our camera club will not only push your skill further but will help build relationships with people that share a common passion for photography.

Our mission is to create opportunities and experience through education and adventure, which will help build a strong community. Our club welcomes you. Join us today!

Last evening, 11 hearty souls disembarked from the club on the 1st member paddle of the season. There was a cool south easterly breeze blowing up the river which made for challenging conditions however all managed well. The cookies, treats and conversation afterwards in the warm clubhouse made for a nice conclusion.

Today was all about the GARBAGE. Thanks so much to the folks who came out to help. We collected about 60 bags of garbage. Fifteen Milton Canoe and Camera Club members took up to 6 hours to complete! Also thanks to all who honked their horns and stopped to talk. What a mountain of GARBAGE!!

The Community Litter Collection planned for 9 May will be postponed since ROQ hasn’t finalized funding approvals for collections. If it’s too lengthy an approval process, we may cancel altogether as the foliage, and ticks will be hazard concerns. Stay tuned for an update.
