Love trees? 🌳🌳🌳
The Arborist Ground Worker Training Program provides job seekers with industry training that enhances productivity, safety, and efficiency while enhancing communication, problem-solving and critical thinking skills — all in a practical learning environment that mimics the workplace.

The program session 2026-2027 will be offered in two different locations: Toronto in November 2026 and in Ottawa in January 2027.

Training includes hands-on, workplace-based technical and soft skills development in the following areas:

• Skills and tools of the trade
• Health and safety training
• Science of Arboriculture
• Field operations and practices
• Résumé writing and interview prep
• Career planning
• Paid industry work placement

The Arborist Ground Worker Training Program is made possible through the Skills Development Fund project funding from the Government of Ontario and the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD).

You get a message from a "homeowner." They send a photo of a tree, ask you to remove it, and offer to pay upfront. Sounds like a normal job until the payment reverses, and you learn they never owned the property at all.

This scam is happening right now across Ontario. We've already heard from real homeowners who lost mature trees this way.

Already ISA Certified? To maintain your certification, you must earn a minimum number of ISA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) by the end of the 3-year period and pay a recertification fee. Or, you can retake and pass the exam. The number of CEUs required depends upon the credential you hold. For an ISA Certified Arborist, you must earn 30 CEUs over the three year period.
