It is with very heavy hearts that we share the loss of Stephenie, who was part of our 100 Women Who Care Milton community.
Today, we want to take a moment to remember Stephenie and share, in her own words, her Member Spotlight.
Stephenie joined us at our summer meetings at Springridge each year, always bringing her warmth and positive energy. She was one of the very first to answer our Member Spotlight questions, so generously sharing a piece of herself with all of us.
We will miss your smile, your kindness, and the light you brought into our community.
Stephenie’s MEMBER SPOTLIGHT💛
💼 THE WORK SIDE:
I am retired but I volunteer for Navy League of Ontario as an instructor. I run the cadet program for 9-12 year olds out of Acton, Ontario. I have been volunteering for 13 years with the program. Our goal is to help children become good citizens, be able to self-advocate, learn leadership and self-esteem.
❤️ THE HEART (AND MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT)
Working with 9-12 year olds and watching them grow. Problem solving, organizing, working with children.
🌎 THE HUMAN SIDE
I’m very supportive of everyone. Positivity is my superpower. I don’t get out for coffee very often, like anywhere I can sit and chat. I read everyday, 1-2 books a week. I make cards and that’s my favourite hobby right now.
💜 WHY 100+ WOMEN WHO CARE MILTON?
I like helping charities. I am unable to attend outside of the summer because my cadet group meets Wednesday, but I like doing good. This is an easy way to learn about different charities and donate.
I love them all. All the charities that have presented have given me perspective on where help is needed in the community and how many organizations need funding.
Many of the charities I’ve never heard of.
We will miss you Stephenie💜
