Our members in the carcass project (missing one in the photos) were given the opportunity to see and learn all about their carcasses yesterday.
THANK YOU TO:
-Livestock Gentec for processing the hair samples and providing the DNA results and Jordan Roberts for the informative DNA workshop!
-Tracy Dietrich with 4-H Alberta and the Carcass Committee for organizing this amazing opportunity for the members!
-The abattoir Oscar for grading the carcasses and meeting with the members! We learned so much about how meat is graded!
- Lethbridge Meats & Seafood and Jason the butcher for talking to the kids about their carcasses!

It was a very informative and interesting afternoon and the kids all walked away learning so much more about this side of the beef industry! 🍀🥩

Tristen will be away during the show and sale, so he had his Achievement day yesterday.
We would like to recognize the hard work and dedication Tristen has put into his flock over these last 3 years. Well done!
