Today, some of our Cat 4-H members spent the afternoon lending a hand at the Lethbridge & District Humane Society!(We were missing a few members, but they will be volunteering in the near future!)
The kids worked hard cleaning the indoor dog kennels and then enjoyed some hands-on time with the cats and kittens.
A big thank-you to the Humane Society for welcoming us—there are some incredibly cute cats and dogs currently looking for their forever homes! 💚🐾

Yesterday, a few of our members visited Prairie Rose Lodge to draw names for the winners of the 12 tie blankets that some of our 4-H members recently made at last weekends workshop. We also enjoyed visiting while we were there. 💚

Some of our members spent the afternoon learning how to make tie blankets. A special thank-you to Linda, Suzanne, and Val for spending time with us and helping everyone throughout the activity. Thank you to Sue, Jason & the staff at Riverside Market for once again letting the club “take over” the store & shop. Thank you also for the drinks and donuts.
We have made grocery shopping for the Tri-Community Pantry part of the yearly community service activity that our members love doing.
Members are responsible for looking for the best deals, staying within their budgets and finding the items listed on their lists. All groceries purchased are transported to the pantry to help fill their shelves.

Our members had such a great learning day!

THANK YOU Monarch Feeders and John deBoer for an informative and fun tour — John made it personal and engaging for the kids and everyone learned so much!
Thanks also to John & Laurie for the backyard lunch spot — we really appreciated your hospitality!
Also THANK YOU to Den Boon Meats and Rob for the awesome butcher shop tour — so cool to see another part of the beef industry up close! The members really enjoyed learning how animals are processed, how cuts of meat are prepared, and the care that goes into producing quality products.
What a fantastic learning experience!

Our Beef Project members had their weigh-in yesterday!
Thank you to Jenny from Innovative Veterinary Services (IVS) for the workshops on vaccines, stress-free cattle handling, and proper implant techniques. We learned so much and members are excited to start working with their animals !
