On Wednesday, May 20, our Executive Director Deborah Clyne and TLC Coordinator Michelle Kolton represented Community Reach in Orillia at the Annual Seniors Day celebration, “Seenagers,” hosted by MP Adam Chambers and MPP Jill Dunlop.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for Community Reach to connect with residents outside of our current service area, while also spending time with fellow organizations and vendors that provide valuable services throughout our communities.
As you can tell by the smiles, it was a fantastic day enjoyed by everyone! 😊

🚐✨ Exciting News from Community Reach! ✨🚐

We’re thrilled to introduce a brand new Midland Transit Accessible Vehicle! This addition helps us continue providing safe, reliable, and inclusive transportation throughout our community.

Our amazing Accessible Transportation driver, Steve, is already loving being behind the wheel and can’t wait to be out and about serving North Simcoe residents.

👋 If you see the new van driving around the Midland area, be sure to give Steve a wave!

Together, we’re keeping our community connected—one ride at a time. 💙

New investments are helping improve access to care in North Simcoe 👏

The North Simcoe Ontario Health Team has received provincial funding to expand team-based primary care, making it easier for more people—especially those without a family doctor or nurse practitioner—to connect to the care they need.

This means better access to primary care, mental health supports, system navigation, and community services, all working together to support the whole person.

Are you an active, crafty senior and looking for something new and fun to do?

The Craft Group meets Tuesday afternoons at 1:00 PM, from September through June, with the exception of the second Tuesday of each month.

Members create a variety of handmade items for the Craft Bazaar as well as for charitable causes throughout the community. There are always experienced members happy to teach newcomers how to knit or crochet, making it a welcoming space for anyone interested in learning or sharing their skills.
