We’re still here! Although our running route sustained extensive damage during the November flooding and we have had to postpone our event yet again, the Merritt Country Run committee is planning on hosting our best run yet in 2023! Stay tuned for more details!

Hi Everyone! This year the Merritt Crown mountain bike race will be held on Saturday Sept 26 with a 7am start. If you live in Merritt and would be able to volunteer at the start and finish line please contact Darch Oborne at [email protected]. The start is at Rotary Bike Park and the finish is at Hack's camp on Hwy 8 just 0.5km from Norgaards. I'd love to have our running community support this community event!!

We are sad to announce that the 2020 Merritt Country Run has been cancelled. Our runners’ safety is our number one priority and, given the current circumstances, we feel this is the best choice. All runners currently registered will have their registration deferred to our 2021 race. We are grateful to all of our sponsors for their support and look forward to working with everyone again moving forward. If you have any questions/concerns send us a message and we will get back to you! Stay healthy!

The Merritt Country Run committee knows this is a stressful time for many people. We want to let all of our racers know we are committed to their safety first and foremost. As our race is not until June 14, we will continue to monitor the situation and update racers as new information becomes available. In the meantime, our Learn To Run 5km clinic will still be starting April 20! Message us for more details or call the Civic Center to sign up!

A few of our committee members were out running the 10km West Van Run today after attending the Race Directors Summit yesterday! We’ve got lots of great ideas for how to make this years Merritt Country Run even better!

Want to run the Merritt Country Run but not sure where to start? Try one of our learn to run clinics! Our 10km clinic starts March 17 (cost is $70) and our 5km clinic starts April 20 (cost is $60). Included in the cost is a race registration and a Merritt Country Run t-shirt. Message us for more info or head to the civic centre to register!
