Full on summer feels around here… and yeah, the summer blues are real when the sleds are tucked away for the season. ☀️➡️❄️

But the stories, memories, and laughs from this winter are still fresh. Finn got his first real taste of the big sleds this season and now he’s completely hooked. Riding along with the Toasty Tot bars had him smiling from ear to ear and already counting down the days until snow flies again.

That’s what it’s all about. Family, friends, mountain memories, and building the next generation of riders. Until then, we’ll soak up the sunshine and keep dreaming about deep powder days ahead.

Drop your favourite family sledding pics from this season in the comments to help keep everyone pumped up for next winter! 👇❄️

5 days left of the raffle - share with your friends!

Snowmobiling in British Columbia depends on more than just what happens on the snow. While riders are out enjoying the backcountry and clubs are out grooming, building, and maintaining trails, the BC Snowmobile Federation is working behind the scenes to help protect access to the areas we all love to ride.

The RideOnBC Land Access Fund supports the important work of advocacy, research, and representation in the conversations where land use decisions are made across the province. This work helps ensure snowmobilers continue to have a voice at the table and goes far beyond what memberships and trail fees alone can support.

You ride. Clubs build. We protect access.

Every raffle ticket purchased helps support the ongoing effort to keep BC’s snowmobile recreation areas open and accessible for today’s riders and future generations.

Forest planning in the Merritt and Nicola Thompson areas is happening now, and this is your chance to have your voice heard at the local level.

If you ride, recreate, hunt, hike, or enjoy access to our backcountry, now is the time to get involved. Please take a few minutes to fill out the survey and help shape the future of our forests and recreation areas.

Be sure to save the date and plan to attend an upcoming open house near you to learn more and share your feedback in person.

Your voice matters. Let’s work together to protect access and ensure the snowmobile community is represented in future planning decisions.

Clubs and volunteers all around the province put in countless hours building and maintaining infrastructure for riders to enjoy. Seeing a few unsavory people damage and disrespect those efforts is simply not acceptable.

Please respect the trails, shelters, signage, and equipment that volunteers work so hard to provide for the snowmobiling community.

Well folks !! After 3 out houses over the years built by club volunteers have been burnt down , we installed a concrete one , and now they can’t burn it down so they shall try to shoot through it !! Anyone have information on who shot the outhouse right in Main Parking Lot?
Just grossly disrespectful.
Reward offered by our club president for information .

FYI- To all posting about how we need game cameras… We DO have trail cameras in certain locations. Never thought we would need one on an outhouse.

Everyone loves a helicopter sled rescue… until it’s your turn 🚁❄️

Even when you’re prepared and carrying the right gear, sometimes things still happen. You might have the tools, the knowledge, and a solid crew, but if you don’t have the spare parts needed to get your sled running again, a helicopter might be the only way out.

Backcountry riding can change fast, so ride smart, be prepared, and always have a plan.

A huge thank you to all the incredible volunteers who made this season possible with the Merritt Snowmobile Club. From trail grooming to cabin and shelter upkeep, and putting on great events for our riding community, none of it happens without your time and dedication. It’s the behind-the-scenes work that keeps everything running and makes every ride better.

We also want to give a big shoutout to Big Power Films for sponsoring our ad in this week’s Merritt Herald. Your support helps us continue to grow and keep the community strong.

Here’s to another great season and the people who make it all happen.

Huge thank you to our incredible sponsors, our dedicated membership, our hardworking volunteers, and the amazing support from fellow clubs that helped make this season one to remember.

Even with less-than-ideal snow conditions, we still managed to bring together the community and successfully run three out of four events. That speaks volumes about the commitment and passion behind this club.

From trail work to event days, it takes a lot of effort from a lot of people, and our volunteers are right at the heart of it all. We’re grateful for every bit of support along the way.

We’re already looking ahead and can’t wait to do it all again next season.

Big things happening behind the scenes for the club

Our PistenBully 130 D is getting an engine installed and we’re looking forward to having it back out on the trails in top shape for next season. Huge shoutout to Adam McDonald who’s been putting in the time and effort on his days off to get this project dialed in.

It’s volunteers like this that keep our trails running smooth all season long 👊
