Last nights rehearsal for It’s a Wonderful Life! included working with our mics and adding live sound effects and recorded music. Since it’s a radio play, sound is so integral to this show!.

Calling for VOLUNTEERS

We are seeking volunteers to sell 50/50 tickets during TNIM’s production of It’s a Wonderful Life at The Pews.

Performances are Nov. 19 and 20 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 21 and 22 at 2 p.m.

We need three friendly faces at each performance to sell tickets before the show and during intermission, then hand in the tickets and funds before the winning number is drawn at the end of intermission.

You will not be thrown to the wolves, Heddy who has taken on the 50/50 lottery for TNIM will be on hand at all the performances.

You can volunteer for one performance or several. No acting required, just a smile, a little hustle and perhaps a willingness to say, “50/50 tickets!” more times than you ever thought possible.

Interested? Send Heddy an email at [email protected] or a text at 613-314-0953 and join the fun!

There is a lot of work that needs to happen to get a production like It’s A Wonderful Life! on its feet and much of it happens behind the scenes. While actors are busy honing characters and learning blocking, the crew is simultaneously working their own magic.

Leyna Sanger has been spending many hours creating set pieces to transform the Pews stage into both heaven and The Coba Radio Theatre.

While our sound crew, Vicki Graham, Chris Shearman, James Clugston, and Nigel Roberts met with Director, Bronwen McKnight, Producer, Helen Steenburg, and Assistant Stage Manager, Dana Tapak to create both live and recorded sound effects.

It’s A Wonderful Life! will be presented at The Pews on November 19 & 20 at 7:00 p.m. and November 21 & 22 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets will be available to purchase online soon so save the dates and stay tuned!

The cast and crew of Reception are hard at work to ensure that this year’s TNIM entry into the Eastern Ontario Drama Festival’s, One Act Plays is a hit!

Reception, written by Ottawa playwright Guy Newsham and directed by Barry Patrick, is a fast moving, poignant comedy about middle-aged, divorced people navigating romance at a wedding reception. On Tilly’s wedding day, her divorced mother Claire arrives with Ron, while her divorced father Jordie brings Britney. As parents, dates, and a dessert-loving priest collide, Tilly learns more about her family, love, and marriage while calmly taking the chaos in stride.

TNIM will join Studio Theatre Perth in An Evening of One Act Plays Oct. 29, 30, 31 & Nov 1. Tickets can be purchased online at [email protected] or at ticketsplease.ca, and by calling Tickets Please at 613-485-6434.

You can also see Reception at the Kanata Theatre as part of the EODL One Act Festival on November 7th. See https://kanatatheatre.ca/play/2026-eodl-one-act-festival/ for details and tickets.
