Wheels up for Cambridge Bay, NU!

Our NICFI Business Development Team (Northern Integrated Commercial Fisheries Initiative) is travelling to Cambridge Bay, NU for a strategic workshop on strengthening fish plant collaboration in Nunavut.

Building on dialogue from the 2025 Fisheries Symposium, this workshop will bring together representative from communities, fish processing facilities, Government of Nunavut, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc, funding partners, and experts to explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration and sustainability in the region.

The Canadian High Arctic Research Station (CHARS) in the Municipality of Cambridge Bay will host this important workshop from October 7-9th. The NICFI BDT will be there to contribute to the discussion, speak to emerging opportunities, and help communities develop fisheries that support their needs and goals.
