September is here, and there are so many ways to connect, grow and get involved at RVCC this fall!

Whether you’re looking for a place to build community, grow in your faith, find support, or simply get to know some new people, there’s a place for you. Swipe through to see what’s happening this month — and save this post so you can come back to it!

A few things we want to highlight…

🎳 RVCC YOUTH KICK OFF!

Youth is back for Grades 7–12, and we’re kicking things off with 10-Pin Glow Bowling!

Panorama Lanes | 820 6A Ave SW

There is no cost to attend, but students MUST register by Sept 7 to reserve their spot. Drop off and pick up will both be at Panorama Lanes. Go to https://rvcc.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/3836281

And mark your calendars for our Fall Kick Off Weekend!

This year’s theme is “The Call of the Church Has Not Changed.” We’ll also be receiving a special Compassion Offering toward the Blessing Bank as we look for practical ways to care for and bless our community.

Overflow at 6 PM + FREE BBQ following the service
Sunday, Sept. 20: Service at 10:27 AM + FREE meal following the service

We don’t want to say this too loudly, but fall is just around the corner and we want to give you a sneak peak of exciting things to come!

We’re kicking things off September 19 & 20 with our fall theme, “The Call of the Church Has Not Changed.” As we step into a new season, we’ll refocus on what it means to be the Church — loving God, serving others, and making a difference in our community. We’ll also receive a special Compassion Offering toward the Blessing Bank and share a meal together after both services — a BBQ after Overflow on Saturday and lunch on Sunday!

Also coming up this fall:

Alpha — A 12-week opportunity to explore life, faith and God through engaging videos, conversation and a meal together each week.

Living Free — A great opportunity to learn practical tools, lean into faith, and take steps toward living free.

Young @ Heart 55+ Sunshine Trolley Tour — A fun afternoon trolley tour followed by coffee and visiting back at the church.

Resist the Drift Marriage Event — October 23 & 24 with Greg & Erin Smalley from Focus on the Family. A weekend to reconnect, grow stronger and invest in your marriage.

We are so excited to be hosting a very special marriage event happening this October.

Resist the Drift is an opportunity to intentionally invest in your marriage, reconnect with your spouse, and be encouraged with practical, Bible-based tools for building a strong and lasting relationship.

We’re excited to welcome Greg & Erin Smalley from Focus on the Family to River Valley Community Church for this special two-day marriage event!

📅 Friday, October 23 | 6:30–9 PM
📅 Saturday, October 24 | 8:30 AM–Noon

Whether your marriage is thriving, going through a challenging season, or simply feeling the effects of a busy life, this weekend is for you.

August is here, and we've got so much happening at RVCC!

Whether you're joining us for Overflow, Sunday mornings, prayer, or coffee at Potter's House Café, we'd love to see you this month.

🏕️ Our Annual Campout is officially FULL! We're so thankful for everyone who registered. We can't wait for an incredible weekend together! Didn't get a spot? We'd still love to have you join us for one of the most meaningful moments of the weekend. On Saturday, August 29, everyone is invited to our baptism service at Whispering Pines. Meet us at the camp at 1:00 PM, and we'll head down to the lake together.

If you've been thinking about taking the next step in your faith through baptism, we'd love to celebrate with you! Please contact the church office if you'd like to be baptized.

You'll also see a few opportunities beginning in September, including Grief Share and Life Groups—be sure to keep those on your radar! We have a few more updates coming your way for the fall, so stay tuned!
