Our hearts are with the family of the child that was lost yesterday in Echodale.

We know there are no words that can be said that changes anything or makes anything better. This is an unimaginable hard road that leaves parents, families and friends in shambles in every way possible. There is no road map through the loss of a child. Try to surround yourselves with the people you need in the moment.

Our hearts are broken for you. -The Doll Family

The Medicine Hat Police Service can confirm the child involved in the incident at Echo Dale Regional Park on June 15, 2026, has since died. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation; however, foul play is not suspected.

Our thoughts are with the child’s family, classmates, school staff, first responders, and all those affected by this tragic incident. Out of respect for the privacy of the child and the family, no further details will be released.
