Did you know being “the strong one” can become a hiding place?
You’re the one everybody calls.
The one who handles the crisis.
The one who checks on everybody else.
The one who keeps showing up.
The one who says, “I’m good”… even when you’re not.
Sometimes we get so used to being strong for everyone else that we forget how to let someone be there for us.
We hide behind being dependable.
We hide behind serving.
We hide behind staying busy.
We hide behind, “They need me.”
But who knows when you’re hurting?
Recovery isn’t always about becoming stronger.
Sometimes recovery looks like finally putting the armor down and saying…
“I need help too.”
You don’t have to carry everything alone.
There is strength in surrender.
There is strength in vulnerability.
There is strength in letting God and safe people into the places you’ve been carrying by yourself.
