Art Walk!

Medicine Hat galleries and art-minded businesses host roving art receptions throughout the year. The dates for 2020 are May 8 (CANCELLED), July 10 and September 25 for Alberta Culture Days. September 2019 marked the Art Walk’s 10th Anniversary! We encourage visitors to walk from location to location and enjoy the art, live music and fun! The regular locations include @MedHatEsplanade @theclaytrade @FWBAArchitects @hivehub @inspirestudioandcafe @MHPublicLibrary, @traviosbeer TREX Space and more!

Each Art Walk also includes a variety of pop-up venues that get involved on a specific date. Interested in becoming a pop-up venue? Below are the requirements:

*Display original art works specifically displayed for the event *Provide light refreshments *Provide music - many opt for live music! *Submit your request prior to that Art Walk deadline *Submit the required information for inclusion in the date-specific pop-up flyer on or before the deadline

If you are interested in becoming a pop-up venue, send the following information with your request to [email protected] on or before the deadlines listed. Please note that there is a maximum capacity of eight pop-up venues per Art Walk. These venues are included on a first come, first served basis. Submission of a request and required materials does not guarantee inclusion in Art Walk.
