🚨 SEASAR Update: Strengthening Communications & Community Support 🚨
SEASAR has officially made the switch to VHF radios, significantly improving our ability to communicate during operations.
With this transition, we found ourselves with equipment that no longer fit our operational needs. Rather than letting it sit on the shelves “just in case,” we chose to put it to good use—embracing a reduce, reuse, repurpose mindset by ensuring it continues to make an impact in our community. ♻️
We are proud to donate this equipment to the ARES Alberta - Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES). 📡
ARES is made up of certified amateur radio operators who volunteer their time, skills, and equipment to provide critical communication support during emergencies and disasters.
By passing this equipment along, we’re strengthening the broader emergency response network while supporting those who share our commitment to preparedness, collaboration, and service.
