With heavy hearts, we stand in solidarity with the families, friends, and all who mourn the tragic loss of a local child this week.

We send our deepest gratitude to all who responded and acted with courage and compassion. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragedy. For employees of the City of Medicine Hat who need support, we encourage you to connect with the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offered through your employer.

May the community gather around those grieving with love, support, and space to heal. 💙

CUPE AB awards this scholarship to a CUPE member, or a member's spouse or child, who is pursuing post-secondary education.
To apply, write a short essay of no more than 1000 words on one of the following topics:

The importance of youth involvement in today’s unions
CUPE’s contribution to Alberta
