FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ):

Q: What is my donation used for? A: Every cent of every donation goes directly to a person in need. Hand Up Charitable Collective has zero overhead, staff, fees, etc. Q: Who are you going to help? A: People from our community who are in need of assistance. Our intent isn’t to duplicate the efforts of other great community organizations. For instance, the food ban

k does an excellent job of feeding people. There are many great organizations to deal with addictions. We will largely look to help those who have fallen through the cracks in the system. Q: My friend is struggling with addictions, could you help them? A: There are great organizations that specialize in addictions; we will happily refer you to them. Q: Who could potentially qualify for your assistance? A: Any community member who is struggling. Some theoretical examples could be:
- parent who cant afford to enroll their child in an activity.
-a low income resident who has had a large, unexpected bill, and cant make ends meet short-term.
-a struggling student who needs short-term assistance. Q: Do you accept referrals from other Organizations? A: We currently do not have the resources to accept referrals. Q: How do I get involved? A: We are always looking for donors, and champions to bring forward potential candidates for assistance. Please contact [email protected] or text 403-710-3894 for more information. Q: How much and how often should I donate? A: We are hoping to foster a Charity Collective that is able, engaged, and contributes consistently. A suggested donation would be $25 monthly, or $300 yearly. That said, you can donate as much or as little as you are comfortable with. You may also wish to donate as a one-off or occasional donation, which is also greatly appreciated. Q: How do I make a donation? A: The Hand Up Charitable Collective accepts any contribution method you are comfortable with. Examples:
-Etransfer to [email protected]
-Cheque made payable to 2352291 Alberta Ltd
