Price of Food Boxes:
-Boxes cost $22 each
-There is NO limit to the number of boxes you may purchase.
-A subsidy for ONE box is available for those who qualify. How to Order:
-Boxes need to be pre-paid in advance, by the 2nd Wednesday of each month, so that the correct number of boxes can be ordered.
-You can pre-pay for your next month's box when you arrive to pick up your food box the day of del
ivery, or you can go to Rexall in Meaford and pre-pay at your own convenience. When to Pick Up Your Food Box:
-On the 3rd Wednesday of every month, orders are available for pick up in the dance hall at the Meaford Community Centre, between the hours of 12:00pm - 5:30pm. (*Note: Any orders not picked up by 5:30pm, will be resold - no refunds, no exceptions.)
-Please remember to bring a container (reuseable shopping bag, box, hamper, etc.) Volunteers:
The main goal of the Meaford Good Food Box is to keep the cost of the box low, therefore volunteers are essential to make the Program run. Most volunteer duties only require 1-2 hours of committment per month, on the day of pick-up, and there are many opportunities for people to help out: unloading the truck, packing boxes, taking orders for next month, etc., and they all help to make the Food Box a great success!
