The Meaford Terry Fox Run is organized entirely by local volunteers — neighbours who care about this cause and want to bring our community together each September.

It's part of the national Terry Fox Run, held in communities across Canada and around the world, but our event is planned, promoted, and run by people right here in town. That volunteer-run model is actually one of the ways the Terry Fox Foundation keeps overhead low, more than 78 cents of every dollar raised goes directly toward cancer research.

Got questions or want to get involved in the planning? Reach out any time: [email protected]

Participating is completely free. The Terry Fox Run has never been about entry fees, it's about coming together as a community and raising money for cancer research through donations and pledges instead.

And while we'd love for you to register in advance at run.terryfox.ca/meaford (it helps us plan for the morning and makes check-in quicker for you), walk-ups are always welcome too. Just come find us at the Harbour Pavilion and we'll get you sorted.

Our route is an out-and-back along the Georgian Trail, starting and ending at the Harbour Pavilion on Bridge Street. Look for turnaround signs at 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km, so you can pick the distance that works for you.

The trail is unpaved but well maintained, and we'll have volunteers assisting with crossings at major roads (please still use caution when crossing).

Whether you're walking, running, skateboarding, biking, or using a wheelchair or stroller, you're welcome on the Run.
