If you enjoy the trails in whichever season, please support the trails club by purchasing a membership. The membership fees go towards insurance, building and equipment, other expenses to maintain and groom the trails, and events!

We are continuing with our Cross Country Saskatchewan club membership and highly encourage skiers to include a CCS membership!! They were a tremendous support for the club with grants towards rebuilding the chalet, upgrading our grooming equipment, and hosting the Sask Winter Games XC events!

Thank you Donovan for the fantastic Fungi Walk on Saturday! We are seeing the transition from summer mushrooms to fall mushrooms. There were still a lot of milk caps, russelas, and boletes (including the beautiful hollow bolete in the photo), a bit of blewits, and the honey mushrooms (see photo) are popping up now too. Thank you to everyone who came out to learn about these fun guys!

All the rain this year sure sucks for basements but it’s amazing for mushrooms 🤩

We had a super blast on Saturday with the Native Plant Society, Sask Mycology group volunteers, and mushroom enthousiastes from across Saskatchewan and even Alberta for a mushroom foray at St Cyr! We learned how to identify the common mushrooms, the favourites, and even some rare ones the experts hadn’t seen in Saskatchewan!

Join us next weekend for a local foray with the incredibly knowledge Donovan and the incredibly, well, let’s just say enthusiastic Desirée!

A huge thanks to Jan, Neil, Holly & Jim, and Geoff for their hard work at the June chalet work bee. The chimney is installed and the stove is nearly ready for the inspector!

We can’t wait to use the stove to make the chalet so cozy warm and heat up some St Cyr C***r. Welllll maybe we can wait a bit and enjoy a spectacular summer 😎

If you are interested in volunteering for ongoing work on the Chalet, we have another work day scheduled for June!
