The Belle Road is not recommended unless you have high clearance and 4 wheel drive. The ruts are very deep. Temperature is supposed to be very warm today as well.

Due to equipment issues, warmer temperatures, and predicted rain, we have decided that grooming is over for the season. Thank you everyone for your support, help, and patience! It was appreciated during this very bumpy season!

The temperature is 7C, and the Belle road is rutted, wet, and very slimy. Lots of sledders here this weekend so be aware of extra traffic if you choose to head up.

Thanks to Eileen and Carolyn for today's trail report:

There hadn't been anyone on the 10km upper section since the snowfalls two weeks ago so we had two enjoyable days, yesterday and today. We skied the 10km trail both days. It is now ski tracked. The snow is not sticky at all, but is wet enough that it is not very fast even on the downhills.

Eileen's report : "We skied the 8 km yesterday from the kids loop in, so now it is ski tracked. There is about 7 “ of fresh snow but it is light and fluffy so not too bad going. It was like floating on the downhills. The only part that was a slog was the hill trail out of Moose meadow back to the pine lake turnoff as two sleds had chewed up that section."

There was at least 30 cm (12") of new snow. Brian was able to pack and track set the kid's Jackrabbit loop and the track to the cabin. The cabin is currently booked all weekend. Enjoy the trail and the sunshine. The road was plowed today as well.

There was 15 to 20 cm of snow over the past 2 days. Side roads aren't great, and our volunteers will be busy clearing their own driveways. Grooming may not take place for a few days.

It is currently snowing and -1C. Predictions of snow all day and overnight.

There was some fresh snow on the trails yesterday. The tracks were visible from previous skiers, temp. was 0C to -1. Snow was sticky in places but good if you put on some glide wax.

Brian checked the trails on Tuesday. Take caution if you drive up the road. There was 4 or 5 inches of wet snow on the road and on the trails. It was 5C and raining during the day. Grooming will have to wait.
