Mayne Island Thrift Shop The Thrift Store receives donations of useable goods from the community and resells them at low prices. In Person SHOPPING: 10am to 1pm on Saturdays.

DONATION DROP-OFFS: Wednesdays 9:30 to 11am or Saturdays 10am to 1pm. The Thrift Store accepts donations of useable goods from the community and resells them at low cost. Proceeds are donated to the community and help support the maintenance of the Agricultural Hall and the Mayne Island Lock-up Museum.

How about learning from Lily Wallace. Lily Wallace was known to many in her day as a preeminent scholar in the realm of the Household Arts. She was the editor of Woman’s World Magazine at one point.
This particular edition of her cookbook is copyright 1947 but was initially issued during war time. What a different experience cooking must have been.
I noted there is a page listed for “foreign dishes” and right below it…”frogs Legs”
