We had a very fun day yesterday on Pender Island joining other Guilds from Galiano, Cowichan Valley and Pender for Hands Across the Water (HAW). The food was delicious and the show and share inspiring! Thank you Pender Island!
We also had the pleasure of visiting on Pender. Kelly has some beautiful fabrics!
Our Guild on Mayne will be hosting HAW next year in 2027.

A group of 20 of us from the Mayne Island Quilters’ Guild recently went on Retreat to Camp Luther in Mission. Everyone brought their own projects to work on. Some started new creations, some were finishing up entries for our Quilt Show this summer and others worked on quilts that were begun in workshops many years ago! All in all it was a productive few days with lots of socializing and eating in between. Here’s a few photos!

Have you marked your calendar? The Mayne Island Quilters’ and Textile Artists are having a quilt show on July 18. It will be at the Ag Hall on Mayne Island this year. There will be over 100 quilts! You can also visit the Farmer’s Market in the Ag Hall grounds. The car show is the same day, at the Community Centre. We’ll look forward to seeing you!

We had a very fun Guild meeting on April 14. We celebrated Carol’s 80th birthday, we enjoyed an amazing Sew and Share and we were treated to a wonderful workshop by Susan Teece on landscape quilting. Can’t wait to see what everyone creates!
