Free virtual mentorship program through Take Me Outside

Looking to grow your outdoor learning practice or share your experience with other educators? 🌱

Our Outdoor Learning Mentorship Program connects educators newer to outdoor learning with experienced educators for peer-to-peer support, connection, guidance, and practical advice throughout the school year.

Mentor applications close this Wednesday (August 26th) - and Mentee registration is now open until September 20th!

It's Family Camp Week at The Canadian Ecology Centre! Aug 12-19th!
Are you camping in Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park this coming weekend? Or looking for something to do for the day? Get your park pass and enjoy a full day of fun and exploration at Samuel de Champlain and the CEC!

The CEC has lots of great programs to compliment the amazing Discovery Programs also offered this weekend by Park staff.

DAY PASS Options (for CEC programs) - for use all week!
(A Provincial Park Daily Vehicle Permit is required upon entry if not camping in the park – this can be purchased at the Park Store or by visiting www.ontarioparks.ca)
🌲MINI PASS – $10.00 (includes 1 Free Child) *Choose up to 2 activities of your choice
🌲MORE PASS – $20.00 (includes 1 Free Child) * Choose up to 5 activities of your choice
🌲ALL-IN PASS – $25.00 (includes 1 Free Child) * Attend as many activities as you like!
* Additional child(ren) to any pass is $5.00

FUN for the WHOLE FAMILY! - The CEC's Family Camp week starts tomorrow Aug 12th and continues until next Wed August 19th.

First up is "What's up with Space" program (7-9pm this Wednesday) with Space/Science Educator Rob Millard from MEESS Education! – Learn about the night sky and take home a star finder to explore the dark skies. Create your very own galaxy painting as a souvenir of the night.

The Canadian Ecology Centre has you covered with great programs offered from Wednesday August 12th to Wednesday August 19th for our Family Camp Week event. Included with your Daily Vehicle Park Permit, CEC Cabin Rental or your campground fee...you can also take advantage of fantastic Discovery Programs with Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park staff during the same dates! There's no overlap between programs, so it's easy to make a full day of both CEC and Park programs...and then enjoy a swim at the beach or hike the recently reopened Wabashkiki trail!
