Remeber folks, it is everyone's responsibility to be SAFE, checking your smoke and CO alarms monthly is recommended, if it's a battery unit the batteries should be changed every 12 months- the alarm itself should be changed every 10 years (unless defective), if it's a sealed unit (it's valid for 10 years unless it becomes defective)

The is excited to hit the ice once again for the 2nd Annual Battle of the Badges Hockey Tournament in Mattawa!

Join us Saturday, January 31, at the Mike Rodden Arena for an action‑packed day as local first responders face off in support of the Mattawa Food Bank. This year, the competition gets even bigger with OPP, Mattawa Fire Department, and District of Nipissing Paramedic Services teams all stepping onto the ice. Come cheer on your favourite badge and enjoy a full afternoon of games, meet‑the‑team moments, and emergency vehicle tours.

Entry fee is a non‑perishable food item or cash donation with all proceeds go directly to the Mattawa & Area Food Bank. Check out the event schedule and bring the whole family for a great cause. ^kb

Joignez-vous à nous le samedi 31 janvier, à l’aréna Mike Rodden, pour une journée remplie d’action alors que les premiers intervenants locaux s’affronteront au profit de la Banque alimentaire de Mattawa. Cette année, la compétition prend de l’ampleur avec la participation d’équipes de l’OPP, du service d’incendie de Mattawa et des services paramédicaux. Venez encourager votre insigne préféré et profitez d’un après-midi complet de matchs, de rencontres avec les équipes et de visites de véhicules d’urgence.

L’entrée consiste en un don d’aliments non périssables ou en argent, et tous les fonds recueillis seront remis directement à la Banque alimentaire de Mattawa. Consultez l’horaire de l’événement et amenez toute la famille pour soutenir une excellente cause. ^kb
