Help us to reduce poverty and provide you opportunities to support the community 🪷 We wish to provide a comfortable space for volunteers to become exposed to the extraordinary calming effect of meditation, and also a release and escape from the burdens of student life. What to Expect: Multiple programs conducted by monks and students that enlighten students on the practice of good virtue and meditation practices, as well as open discussions about any topic.

What started as an empty backyard became a place filled with hope, laughter, and endless possibilities.

On July 11, 2026, 25 amazing volunteers from We Care For You Charity and Million Dollar Smile Organization came together in Pickering with one shared mission—to build a playground for a little girl and create a space where she can play, dream, and make joyful childhood memories.

Through teamwork, generosity, and compassion, every swing assembled, every bolt tightened, and every helping hand brought this project to life. Together, we created more than a playground—we created a safe place where happiness can grow for years to come.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who generously gave their time, energy, and kindness to make this project possible. Your efforts have made a meaningful and lasting impact on this family. ❤️

We are also grateful to Million Dollar Smile Organization for partnering with us on this special initiative. Together, we are proving that when communities unite with compassion, we can create smiles that truly last a lifetime.

A simple card. A heartfelt conversation. A lasting impact.

Our Cards of Compassion distribution event was a wonderful success! Thanks to the kindness and creativity of our amazing volunteers, we created 100 handmade cards over three card-making sessions and had the privilege of personally delivering them to the residents of Markhaven Home for Seniors.

More than just handing out cards, we spent time listening, chatting, and sharing smiles with the residents. Many told us how much they appreciated the visit and encouraged us to keep organizing events like this, as many seniors don't often receive visitors.

Their heartfelt words reminded us that even the smallest act of kindness can brighten someone's day and make them feel seen, valued, and remembered. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in making cards and visiting the seniors. Your compassion made a meaningful difference.

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, We Care for You Charity proudly hosted another successful Blood Drive in partnership with Canadian Blood Services at Hillcrest Mall and Scarborough Donor Centre.

With the support of 19 generous blood donors, this community initiative will help provide life-saving care to patients across Canada.

We are also deeply grateful to our dedicated volunteers who helped promote the event, welcomed and assisted donors, and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the day. 🙏

🌱🌳 Growing a Greener Future Together! 🌳🌱

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, We Care For You Charity proudly partnered with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) for our Annual Community Tree Planting Event.

As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, 30–35 dedicated volunteers came together at Chinguacousy Park in Brampton, Ontario, to help restore native wildlife habitats and support local biodiversity. Together, we planted 200 native tree saplings and shrubs, contributing to the long-term health and sustainability of the local ecosystem.

This year marked our fourth consecutive year partnering with TRCA, a collaboration that continues to provide meaningful opportunities for community members to connect with nature while making a positive environmental impact.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude and share the merits with our teacher, the Most Venerable Kiribathgoda Gnanananda Thero, and all the volunteers who generously contributed their time, energy, and enthusiasm. Your efforts are helping create greener, healthier communities and a more sustainable future for generations to come.

💚On March 7, 2026, We Care for You Charity in partnership with Sri Shakyamuni Mahamewnawa Bhawana Asapuwa in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka, came together to support children affected by the devastating impacts of Cyclone Ditwa.
Severe floods and landslides left many families without essential items, including school supplies. In response, we invited students from surrounding villages—Mathurata, Madulla, Katukithula, Nuwara Eliya, Walapane, Hawa Eliya, Nildandahinna, Harasbedda, Pudaluoya, Rambodagama, Malhawa, and Kumbal Oluwa—to receive much-needed support.

Through a heartfelt ceremony, over 630 students were provided with new backpacks, books, pens, pencils, shoes, water bottles, and more—helping them return to school with confidence and hope. ✏️ A warm meal was also shared with the children and their families, bringing comfort and community during a difficult time.

🙏🏼 We humbly share the merit of this offering with Pinwath Lokuswaminvanshe, all Devas, and monks and nuns around the world, as well as the Mahamewnawa Monastery. Our deepest gratitude goes to everyone across Canada who donated and to all members of We Care for You Charity for making this possible.

As part of our support for flood victims of the recent floods triggered by Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka, we donated 920 thermal water bottles to students at the Meegahakiula National School in Meegahkiula, Badulla. Ape Dansela Charity of Mahamevnawa Monastery, Ella, acted as our intermediary.💧
