What a sweet success for our Newcastle and Orono community! 🍪💜 Thanks to the incredible generosity of Tim Hortons and its guests, more than 11,000 Smile Cookies were sold at the Newcastle and Orono locations during , raising nearly $23,000 in support of Starlight Canada!

Every cookie purchased will help create moments of joy, comfort, and connection for families with seriously ill children. ✨

A heartfelt thank you to Tim Hortons, the dedicated teams at the Newcastle and Orono restaurants, and everyone who supported this year’s Smile Cookie campaign. While Smile Cookies support important causes across Canada, your local generosity is helping bring brighter days to children and families in our community.

We’re always inspired by the next generation of changemakers! ✨🥪 You’re never too young to make a difference, and this is such a special example of that. A group of classmates at Loyola High School Montreal turned an entrepreneurial school project into something much bigger, transforming proceeds from sandwiches into smiles for hospitalized kids!

Through this year’s Student Stock Exchange, they built, created, and collaborated with purpose, raising $1,325 to support children and families facing serious illness. When it came time to choose a charity, the students were inspired by one of their classmates, who wanted to carry on his father’s support of Starlight Canada. Together, the group chose Starlight Canada, using their efforts to help fund local toy deliveries to Shriners Hospital for Children Canada.

It’s a powerful reminder that generosity starts early, and that the next generation is already leading the way. To this incredible group of students, thank you for inspiring us all!

Nous sommes toujours inspirés par la prochaine génération d’acteurs de changement ! ✨🥪 On n’est jamais trop jeune pour faire une différence, et ceci en est un magnifique exemple. Un groupe d’élèves de l’école secondaire Loyola de Montréal a transformé un projet entrepreneurial scolaire en quelque chose de beaucoup plus grand, transformant la vente de sandwichs en sourires pour des enfants hospitalisés !

Dans le cadre du « Student Stock Exchange » de cette année, ils ont imaginé, créé et collaboré avec un objectif bien précis, amassant 1 325 $ pour soutenir des enfants et des familles vivant avec une maladie grave. Au moment de choisir un organisme à soutenir, les élèves ont été inspirés par l’un de leurs camarades de classe, qui souhaitait poursuivre l’engagement de son père envers Starlight Canada. Ensemble, le groupe a choisi Starlight Canada afin d’aider à financer des livraisons de jouets locales à l’Hôpital Shriners pour enfants Canada.

C’est un puissant rappel que la générosité commence dès le plus jeune âge, et que la prochaine génération ouvre déjà la voie. À cet incroyable groupe d’élèves : merci de nous inspirer tous !

When the insurance industry comes together, it can defy gravity for seriously ill children. 💚✨ On Saturday, April 11, the 2026 Starlight Insurance Gala transformed The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto into a spellbinding “Wicked” evening. The hearts of insurance professionals and companies were on full display as they united to raise an incredible $430,011, transforming generosity into moments of joy, relief, and connection for families who need it most.

Hosted by Marci Ien, the evening was filled with unforgettable moments, from exciting auction and raffle highlights to the powerful story shared by Starlight child Steven as he navigates his medical journey with Starlight by his side. His message was simple and unwavering: Never Give Up. You could feel it in the room. His courage brought everyone together, inspiring 86 Wishes to be granted in that very moment, each one a promise that even in the hardest moments, children and families won’t have to give up on childhood.

It only takes a few minutes for a hospital visit to feel overwhelming. Red Sun Farms is helping change what those moments look like for kids in their community.

Last week at Erie Shores HealthCare, we gathered with patients, families, and hospital staff alongside Red Sun Farms President Jim DiMenna—not just to mark a donation, but to witness the tangible programs it makes possible. Two Starlight Fun Centers and two Nintendo Switch Handhelds were generously gifted by Red Sun Farms, directly fulfilling the hospital’s identified need for gaming support for young patients.

Giving back to the communities they grow in is part of who Red Sun Farms is. These systems will be used every day, helping kids shift their focus to play, even for a few minutes. A distraction during a wait. A moment of control in an unfamiliar place. A chance to just be a kid.
