在華人文化裡，關公不只是歷史人物，更是一種跨越千年的精神象徵。

關公，本名關羽，字雲長，生於東漢末年。在那個戰亂四起、群雄割據的年代，他與劉備、張飛桃園結義，立下「同心協力、扶危救困」的誓言。從此之後，關羽一生重情重義、忠誠守信，也因此深受後世敬重。

最廣為人知的故事之一，便是「千里走單騎」。當時關羽因局勢所迫暫留曹營，但他始終沒有忘記與劉備的兄弟情義。在得知劉備下落後，他毅然放下榮華富貴，護送兩位嫂夫人千里尋兄。一路上歷經艱難險阻，仍堅守承諾、不改初心。

也正因如此，後世敬佩關公的，從來不只是他的武勇，而是他的「忠、義、仁、信」。

「忠」是對承諾與責任的堅持；
「義」是對朋友與社會的情分；
「仁」是心存善念、願意扶助他人；
「信」則是誠實守信、言出必行。

千百年來，無論是商人、百姓，還是遠渡重洋的華人移民，都將關公視為精神上的榜樣。因為在人生與事業之中，比成功更重要的，是做人要有原則、有擔當、有良知。

在海外社會裡，我們更能體會「忠義」二字的珍貴。離鄉背井、彼此扶持，靠的不只是能力，更是信任與情義。

In Chinese culture, Guan Gong is far more than a historical figure — he is a timeless symbol of loyalty, righteousness, integrity, and honor.

Born during the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Guan Yu, also known as Guan Gong, lived in an era filled with war and uncertainty. Together with Liu Bei and Zhang Fei, he formed the famous “Oath of the Peach Garden,” pledging brotherhood, loyalty, and the commitment to help others in difficult times.

One of the most well-known stories about Guan Gong is “Crossing Five Passes and Slaying Six Generals.” Although circumstances forced him to temporarily serve under Cao Cao, Guan Gong never forgot his loyalty to Liu Bei. Once he learned where his sworn brother was, he chose to leave behind wealth, status, and power in order to reunite with him. Through countless dangers and hardships, he remained true to his promises and principles.

For generations, people have admired Guan Gong not only for his courage in battle, but for the values he represented:

Loyalty — staying true to one’s word and responsibilities.
Righteousness — standing by friends and helping others.
Compassion — carrying kindness and goodwill in one’s heart.
Integrity — being honest, trustworthy, and honorable.

These values have continued to inspire Chinese communities around the world. Especially for overseas communities, the spirit of mutual support, trust, and unity remains deeply meaningful.

In addition to our community work in North America, we have also participated in charity initiatives in Taiwan over the years — visiting local communities, supporting underprivileged families, and donating essential supplies to those in need.
We truly believe that kindness has no borders, and compassion can connect people from all walks of life.
Every act of giving is more than just helping others — it is a way of sharing love, care, and humanity within our communities.
Moving forward, we will continue to uphold our mission and do our part to support and give back to those who need it most.

More than a thousand years ago, on Meizhou Island in Fujian, China, there lived a young woman named Lin Mo Niang.Legend says that when she was born, she did not cry, so her family named her “Mo,” meaning silence.
From a young age, Lin Mo Niang was known for her kindness, wisdom, and compassion. Living in a coastal fishing village, she deeply cared for the safety of the fishermen and sailors who faced the unpredictable dangers of the sea every day.
One of the most well-known legends tells of a terrible storm that struck while her father and brothers were out fishing at sea. While at home, Lin Mo Niang entered a deep spiritual trance, as if her spirit had crossed the ocean itself. In the midst of violent waves and fierce winds, she struggled to guide her family back to shore — holding her father with one hand and her brother with the other.
Just as they were close to safety, her mother suddenly called out her name, breaking her concentration. Her father survived, but sadly, her brother was lost to the sea.
After this event, many people believed Lin Mo Niang possessed divine powers to protect those in danger on the ocean. Later, after her passing, countless sailors and fishermen claimed that during storms and shipwrecks, they saw a woman in red appearing through the waves, guiding them safely home.
People believed that woman was Mazu.
For centuries, Mazu has been worshipped not only as the Goddess of the Sea, but also as a symbol of compassion, protection, and hope. To many, she is like a loving mother watching over travelers, families, fishermen, merchants, and anyone facing hardships in life.
Perhaps the reason Mazu’s spirit continues to inspire people today is not only because of faith, but because she reminds us that even in the middle of life’s storms, kindness, courage, and hope can still guide us home.

相傳千年前，在福建湄洲島，有一位名叫林默娘的女子。她出生時不哭不鬧，因此被取名為「默娘」。
默娘自幼聰慧善良，經常幫助鄉里，也特別關心出海捕魚的漁民。當時的大海充滿未知與危險，一場突如其來的暴風雨，往往就可能讓一個家庭失去親人。
有一年，默娘的父親與兄長出海時遇上狂風巨浪。傳說中，默娘在家中閉目凝神，神識彷彿飛越大海，在風浪之中拼命救父兄返航。她一手拉著父親，一手牽著兄長，眼看即將平安靠岸，卻因母親突然呼喊而分神，最終只救回父親，兄長則失蹤於大海之中。
自此之後，人們更加相信默娘擁有護海救人的神力。後來，她羽化升天，而許多海上遇難的人都聲稱，在最危急的時候，看見一位身穿紅衣的女子出現，引領船隻平安返航。
人們相信，那就是媽祖。
千百年來，媽祖不只是海上的守護神，更像是一位慈悲的母親，默默守護著每一位遠行的人。無論是出海、經商、創業，還是人生低潮時，許多人都會向媽祖祈求平安與力量。
或許，媽祖文化之所以流傳至今，不只是因為信仰，而是因為她讓人們相信——在風浪之中，始終會有一道溫暖的光，守護著善良的人。

北美忠義慈航協會（Loyalty and Mercy Voyage Association of North America）近日專程前往美國芝加哥，參加全球餐飲業年度盛事 —— National Restaurant Show，與來自世界各地的餐飲業者、企業代表及朋友們交流互動，收穫滿滿。
除了參觀展會、了解行業最新趨勢之外，此行更重要的，是秉持「忠義慈航、廣結善緣」的精神，把關聖帝君的庇佑與祝福帶給更多有緣人。協會成員在現場向許多朋友贈送經過開光加持的關公平安符，希望把這一份平安、福氣與正能量分享給大家。
許多收到平安符的朋友都十分感動，也主動停下腳步了解關公文化與忠義精神。無論來自哪個國家、從事哪個行業，大家都能感受到這份真誠的祝福與善意。一個小小的平安符，承載的不只是心意，更是一份對平安健康、事業順利、家庭幸福的祈願。
在異地與人結緣，是一種難得的福分。協會也希望藉由每一次的交流，把「忠、義、仁、勇」的精神繼續傳遞出去，讓更多人感受到人與人之間最珍貴的溫暖與善念。

The Loyalty and Mercy Voyage Association of North America recently traveled to Chicago, USA, to attend the annual National Restaurant Show — one of the world’s largest gatherings for the restaurant and foodservice industry.
During the event, the association had the opportunity to connect with business owners, industry professionals, and friends from different places, building meaningful relationships and sharing positive energy along the way.
Beyond exploring the latest trends and innovations in the industry, this journey also carried a deeper meaning. Guided by the spirit of loyalty, righteousness, compassion, and goodwill, members of the association distributed blessed Guan Gong peace charms to many people they met throughout the show, wishing everyone safety, success, good health, and prosperity.Many recipients were touched by the gesture and took interest in learning more about Guan Gong culture and the values of loyalty and integrity that it represents. Though small in size, each peace charm carries heartfelt blessings and sincere prayers for peace, protection, smooth journeys, successful businesses, and happiness for families.
To meet people from all walks of life and create positive connections in a foreign city is truly a meaningful experience. The association hopes to continue sharing kindness and traditional values through every encounter, bringing warmth and blessings wherever they go.

自成立以來，北美忠義慈航協會一直秉持著關懷社區、幫助有需要人士的理念，持續參與不同的公益與慈善活動。

回顧過去，我們曾在蒙特利爾為有需要的人派發三明治，希望透過一份簡單的餐食，送上一點溫暖與關懷。雖然只是小小的行動，但我們相信，每一份善意都能為社區帶來正面的力量。

Since its establishment, the Loyalty and Mercy Voyage Association of North America has remained committed to supporting the community and helping those in need through various charitable initiatives.

Looking back, we previously organized sandwich distribution efforts in Montreal, hoping that a simple meal could bring warmth and care to individuals facing difficult circumstances. While the gesture may seem small, we believe every act of kindness can make a positive impact within the community.

We sincerely thank all of our volunteers and supporters for being part of this journey and helping us continue spreading compassion and care.
