The Friends of the Margaretsville Lighthouse Society We have formed this Society with the hopes of taking over ownership and saving our Lighthouse.

Margaretsville Lighthouse is being declared surplus by the Federal Government and we as a community hope to come up with a plan to save it from being torn down.

Job Opportunity - Margaretsville Lighthouse

Friends of the Margaretsville Lighthouse Society has been approved for a Canada Summer Jobs Grant. The position will be for 30 hours per week for nine weeks, starting date June 28 at a hourly rate of $18.00.

Applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30. They must be able to work independently and in cooperation with other volunteers, reporting to the Lighthouse Society Board.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
-Meeting and greeting Lighthouse visitors, selling Lighthouse merchandise, tracking inventory and funds.
-General Lighthouse maintenance, grounds care, and waste collection.
-Planning and organizing Lighthouse fundraising events.
-Computer work, updating FB Lighthouse page, Instagram etc.

Hi everyone! We have a small change in hours! Starting now, on Mondays, we will be open from 12pm to 4pm!

So now,
Sundays: 10am-4pm
Mondays: 12pm-4pm
Tuesdays: CLOSED
Wednesdays: CLOSED
Thursdays: 10am-4pm
Fridays: 10am-4pm
Saturdays: 10am-4pm

I look forward to seeing everyone throughout the rest of the summer!
