The Sno-kickers Snowmobile Club operates and maintains a network of nearly 300km's of groomed snowmobile trails surrounding the towns of Marathon, Manitouwadge and White River.

We are excited to announce we will be hosting a Season Wind-Up Volunteer Appreciation Night this Saturday !

Join us as we wind down an incredible season and celebrate all of our amazing volunteers!

This event is open to all volunteers, members, and their families. Come out for a fun night of bowling, food, and great company!

We were hopeful to plan something different for our upcoming club meeting to attract some more attendees but after some consideration and lack of time to plan due to soaking up every last ride possible, we’ve decided to stay status quo and hold the meeting at the Victim Services office on Sunday April 12th at 6pm. At that time we will try to plan a separate season wind up social in the coming weeks! As this is our last scheduled meeting of the season it will be our AGM where elections of Club executive for the 2027 season will take place . Hope to see everyone there! Meeting is open to the public

Due to Easter falling on the first Sunday of the month, we have decided to postpone our club meeting until next week. More details with venue and times to follow early next week. Stay tuned. This will be the last scheduled meeting of the season and will be our AGM, meaning elections will take place for club executive positions

Huge shoutout to the Continental Motel in White River for providing our groomer operator Gary with free accommodations during his recent groomathon that was over 200km each way to try to catch up after all the recent snow and some machine maintenance. Also to Jeremy and Cynthia again from Fishing Moose Lodge for providing transportation for him and delivering fuel! These generous contributions saved our operator time and the club expenses from transporting him back and fourth after each shift when he’s on a run that’s so far from our home base! It’s because of local support from businesses like these that keep trails in our area sustainable! Make sure to return the favour while in the area by supporting them weather it’s on your sled in the winter or in your car or on your motorcycle in the summer!

This post is a little overdue due to waiting on some accessories to be shipped and installed but we were overwhelmed with community support when we brought up the idea of communication sponsorship and we would like to extend a big thank you to this seasons Communications Sponsors for helping keep our groomer operators connected and safe on the trail network.

We appreciate the support from Phil’s Waste Services Inc., Twisted Treats, and Heavens Counselling & Wellness for sponsoring the Starlink systems installed on our groomers.

Your support helps the Marathon Sno-Kickers continue improving safety and operations in the backcountry. Thank you for supporting local trails and our volunteers!
