ImmersART Micro-Grant Program is a federal-funded program designed to bring French-language arts, culture and heritage experiences into French-immersion schools. It is administered by the Fédération culturelle canadienne-française (FCCF) with funding from Canadian Heritage.
What funding is available?
$1,500 per eligible school, per year
Additional distance premiums can apply:
$500 for qualifying remote schools
Up to an additional $1,500 for schools in Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut
Funding covers activities during the 2026–27 school year, with activities running from September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
Who can apply?
This is an important point: the school itself does not apply for the money.
An eligible Canadian incorporated non-profit arts/cultural organization applies, in partnership with an eligible French-immersion school. In this case, CPF can apply in partnership with your school!
For example, CPF could partner with your school to provide:
🎵 Music workshops
🎭 Theatre
🎨 Visual arts
💃 Dance
📚 Literature
🎬 Media/multimedia arts
🧵 Arts and crafts
🏛️ Francophone heritage activities
The activity must be delivered in French and should be participatory for students.
What can the money pay for?
Eligible expenses include things such as:
Artist/facilitator honorariums
Activity coordination
Materials needed for the activity
Transportation for students or artists
Current 2026–27 deadline
The current application period opened June 15, 2026. The listed deadline is February 5, 2027, or earlier if the available funding is exhausted. Applications are processed in the order received.
