Inspire the Heart Child and Youth Society formerly known as the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Youth Centre Society was established on Sept 24 1992. The purposes of the Society are:
To seek out and assist groups and/or individuals that make a positive contribution towards the well-being
of our children a
nd youth.
1. To strengthen the INSPIRE THE HEART CHILD & YOUTH SOCIETY and to raise community
awareness of the Society’s goals:
a. Broadening the representation of community organizations, individuals, and youth on the society’s
board. Encouraging and/or recommending opportunities for children and youth that contribute to their overall
health and development. Facilitating opportunities for young people to obtain a broader perspective of the world through service
projects locally and/or abroad. Actively engaged fundraising initiatives benefiting children & youth. Accessing grants and other funding sources that support the society’s goals. Seeking partnerships with groups and businesses that support the financial viability of the society.
2. To support a 4 Pillar approach that promotes the health and development of Children and Youth:
a. Investing and supporting in the development of infrastructure projects focused on children and youth. Empowering young people to use and leverage innovative technologies that supports the aims of the
society. Youth Leadership Development - (Health and Wellness, Vocational, Financial Literacy, Environmental,
Educational, Community Development, Sports and Recreation)
d. Advocacy – Positively Promote and represent the rights, interests and viewpoints of children and youth.
