If you come across a downed line please stay clear of it and report it to SaskPower. The power is out right now but may come on without warning. Call in any downed lines to 310-2220. They are busy so please be patient. When power is restored and you see lines arcing stay clear and call 911.

With conditions improving, we are rescinding the fire ban.

We will move out of the extreme risk but are still in the high risk.

Please use extreme caution when burning and call all controlled open fires to the controlled burn line at 1-866-404-4911 prior to starting.

May 27 - FC Brownlee, DC Bennett & Cpt Rowley attended the Bear Claw Casino & Hotel to observe their fire drill and provide some insight. Afterwards, FC Brownlee gave a quick run down on fire extinguishers. Explaining the different types of extinguishers, basic uses & operation.

May 28 - Monthly Practice Night. We played some water soccer. This helps the members with nozzle & hose control while having some fun!

🔥 FULL FIRE BAN IN EFFECT 🔥

Due to the extreme heat, wind conditions, and elevated Fire Weather Index issued by the Sask Public Safety Agency (SPSA), a full fire ban is now in effect for the Rural Municipality of Moose Mountain No. 63 and the Village of Manor.

Effective immediately, all open burning is prohibited until further notice. We ask everyone to do their part to help keep our communtiies safe.

Updates will be provided as conditions change. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Firefighters love the color red unless you are looking at this map then you appreciate the color blue.

Huge shout out to the 911 dispatchers during the windy days. They were dispatching multiple departments at the same time. And to the departments that were out, good job under extreme circumstances. Thank you to all the career and volunteers out protecting people and property.

We are still in the high risk category for fire danger but can quickly go to extreme conditions with expected winds and higher temperatures and no significant rain in near future. At this time a we ask that you postpone any burning until conditions are safe to do so. This includes burning barrels and open bon fires.

MFD had 10 members come out tonight to continue working on our ongoing locker project. Project Locker was originally kicked off and spearheaded by previous DC Kent Lees, in March 2023 but now the torch has been passed to one of MFD’s current Captains, Matt Mutz. Both gentlemen doing excellent work.

Project Locker is not yet complete, as we still have some members gear crammed into old school lockers. We will continue to work away down there as we can, as one hell of a team!
