October 15 – Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day

Today we honour the tiny ancestors who left us too soon; who touched the spirit world before they touched the Earth.

In Anishinabe kikinamagewin, we know their journey was not in vain because they carry teachings even in their brief presence. We hold space for the mothers and families whose grief walks with them, quiet and sacred. We light a fire in our hearts for the little ones gone too soon, wrapping their memory in love, songs, and sacred silence.

May their spirits rest gently among the stars, always remembered, always cherished. 💖

Today, we hold space in our hearts for the heaviness many are carrying.

World Mental Health Day is a powerful reminder that our mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing are just as important as our physical health. It is a time to reflect, to listen, and to care—for ourselves and for one another.

As Anishinabeg, we know the importance of balance within ourselves, within our families, and within the land. When that balance feels broken, it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to feel what we feel. And it’s okay to ask for support.

You are not alone. You are never a burden. You are part of this community, and you are deeply valued and loved. Healing is not always a straight path, but it is one we don’t have to walk alone.
