Pembina Valley Watershed District

Pembina Valley Watershed District Pembina Valley Watershed District provides local landowners with technical and financial assistance. Please visit our website for more information.

We have a main office in Manitou and 3 satellite offices in Killarney, Altona, and Letellier. The Pembina Valley Watershed District (PVWD) was officially established by Order in Council on October 2, 1989. Our members now include the Municipality of Pembina, Municipality of Louise, Municipality of Lorne, Rural Municipality of Thompson, Cartwright-Roblin Municipality, Rural Municipality of Stanley,

Municipality of Rhineland, Municipality of Montcalm, and the cities/towns of Morden, Winkler and Altona. Watershed Districts are organized to manage all natural resources within a given area. Resources such as soil, water, forests and wildlife are all interrelated. Altering any single resource may indirectly or directly affect other resources. WDs provide a watershed approach to effectively manage all resources as a unified system.
