spent the afternoon yesterday at the Loins Park in Meadow Lake letting people know what I do here at the farm and inviting them to a Meet the herd and walk with the horses. So many have never even heard about this work. It was my first time in the park. Highly recommend a visit there. The hill was wanting to be climbed but I knew that it was not for me. Im too old for that but the kids sure enjoyed it.

I offered a free draw and we had 11 entries so the draw was made for a 50% discount on a single individual session

First — I want you to know that reaching out took something. Whether you're not sure what this is, whether horses make you nervous, or whether part of you is just quietly wondering if something like this could actually be for you — the fact that you're here tells me something. And I don't take that lightly.

Let me be honest with you about what Meet the Herd actually is.

It is not a riding lesson. It is not a therapy session. And you do not need to know anything about horses — or like them — to show up. Some of the people who have had the most profound experiences here were the ones who were most unsure about being here at all.

What I can tell you is this: horses are not polite the way people are. They don't respond to the version of you that you've learned to show the world. They respond to what's actually going on underneath — and when you're willing to just show up honestly, even if honestly means scared or skeptical or unsure, something happens that I genuinely cannot put into words ahead of time. That's not me being mysterious for the sake of it. It's because what the horses reveal is different for every single person — and the discovery is the whole point.

You don't need to believe in this. You don't need to be ready. You just need to be willing to come and see.

What Horses Know That We Forget
Most of us have spent a lifetime learning how to show up.
How to seem okay when we're not. How to hold it together in front of people who are watching. How to be the version of ourselves that feels safest to present to the world.
We get so good at it we forget we're doing it.
The horses don't care about that version of you.
They can't see her — and they're not looking for her.
When you walk through the gate and into the presence of the herd, something shifts. Not because of anything you do. Because of everything you stop pretending. Horses read energy, not performance. They feel the tension you've been carrying in your body for years. They feel the grief you haven't named yet. They feel the exhaustion underneath the smile.
And they don't flinch.
They don't need you to explain yourself. They don't need you to have it together. They don't need you to be further along than you are.
They just meet you — exactly where you are — and they stay.
For a lot of the people who walk through my gate, that is the first time in their life that has ever happened.
Not being asked to perform. Not being evaluated or fixed or handled. Just being met. Just being seen.
That is not a technique. That is not a program feature.
That is one of the most profound experiences a human being can have — and the horses have been offering it quietly, to anyone willing to receive it, for as long as they have walked this earth.
We forgot how to let them.

I didn't start this business from a place of having it all figured out.
I started it from the ashes.
I've had to climb the exact mountain I ask my clients to climb. The guilt. The shame. The not recognizing the person in the mirror. Waking up one day and realizing I had been performing a version of myself for so long I didn't actually know what was real.
I hated myself for a long time. That's not dramatic — that's just true.
And I didn't wait until I was fully healed to begin. I began, and let the beginning be part of the healing.
Building this business meant coming face to face with the person I had tried the hardest to get away from.
Myself.
So when you walk through my gate and I say I know exactly who you are — I mean it in a way that has nothing to do with what you've told me.
I recognize you. I've been you.
That's not a selling point. That's why I'm here.

A couple days ago when I was lighting a smudge for the horses i had four of them follow me into the barn. Its not unusual for one or two to want to be with me but the surprise was for my wildy to want to be inside with me she does not want me to touch her but wants to be closer to me each day. It is refreshing to know that she is trusting me more each day. Trust is huge. Especially trusting yourself so when a horse that has never allowed anyone to touch her wants to be with you. Thats an amazing feeling.
