100 Bluenosers Who Care

100 Bluenosers Who Care One Hundred People Making A Huge Impact in Lunenburg County, One Hundred Bucks At A Time! We are a non-organization. Join today.

Who are we?...We’re a bunch of caring people who care enough about our community to want to make a BIG impact. We'll meet quarterly, hear about the great work three local charities do, and then we'll choose one to donate everyone’s $100 to!...
That's $10,000 and that's HUGE! We are not registered; we have no directors, officers or treasurer; we have no bank account because we don’t collect, spend

or donate anything - it’s our members who make the donations. The group and its events are run on a budget of zero by a core team of big-hearted volunteers and with the assistance of some very generous sponsors. If you are a person who cares about your community…
If you want to be part of a powerful group of people who are
committed to make a BIG impact…. If you want to mix and mingle with the community leaders of today and tomorrow…
If you want to learn more about the amazing work our local charities do…
If you want 100% of your donation to go directly to a local charity…
… then this group could be for you!

✨The Big Announcement: THE HUB IS OPENING!✨

🌈 YOU'RE INVITED! 🌈
We are overjoyed to officially announce the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting of the Lunenburg Community Food Hub. This space was built with compassion, collaboration, and the belief that no one in our community should face food insecurity alone.

The rainbow over our new facility says it all: this is a place of hope, dignity, and a stronger future for all of us. Come celebrate this milestone with us!

📅 When: January 10, 2026 (Rain date: Jan 17)
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM
📍 Where: 237 Victoria Road, Lunenburg

WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ Official Ribbon Cutting with local leaders
✨ Warm Hot Chocolate & S’mores stations
✨ Tours of our brand-new facility
✨ A chance to connect with the neighbors who made this possible

--------------------------------

🙌 WE NEED YOU: Volunteer & Support
To keep The Hub running and serving our neighbors, we are looking for caring, community-focused volunteers.

Initial Hub Hours & Shifts:
Mondays: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Fridays: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Saturdays: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

The Role: You will work in pairs for 2–3 hour shifts, greeting visitors, helping them find resources with dignity, and supporting our daily operations.

📧 Interested? Please email [email protected] to join the team!

Can’t volunteer? You can still make a massive difference by donating to help us stock our shelves with fresh food and essentials.

Let’s grow together, Lunenburg. We can’t wait to see you on the 10th! 💙

--------------------------------

🙋‍♀️ VOLUNTEER F.A.Q :

Q: Do I need prior experience to volunteer?
A: No! We are looking for heart and a helpful attitude. We provide full training and will have meetings to make sure you feel confident and supported in your role.

Q: Will I be working alone?
A: Never. We schedule at least two volunteers per shift so you always have a partner to work with.

Q: What exactly does a shift look like?
A: You’ll be the "face" of The Hub! You’ll greet and register patrons, assist them in finding food and resources in a respectful way, and help keep the space organized.

Q: Is there a long-term commitment?
A: While we love consistency, we are happy to work with your schedule. Most volunteers find that one shift a week or every other week works perfectly.

Q: How do I sign up?
A: Simply email Simon at [email protected] and let him know which of our shift times (Mon/Fri/Sat) works best for you!

--------------------------------

As always:

Give What You Can,
Take What You Need.
