🚨 SMOKE & CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM CAMPAIGN 🚨

The Magnetawan Fire Department is launching a community Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm Campaign!

Over the coming months, our firefighters will be going door-to-door throughout the community to:

🏠 Check smoke and carbon monoxide alarm compliance
🔔 Help residents understand where alarms are required and how to properly maintain them
📚 Provide fire safety education and information
🛟 Where needed, smoke and/or carbon monoxide alarms may be provided at no cost

Participation is VOLUNTARY

This campaign is intended for education and fire prevention only. Firefighters will be happy to answer questions and provide information to help keep your home and family safe.

There are no fines or enforcement actions associated with this campaign.

🏠 Not home when we visit?
No problem! Our firefighters will leave a door hanger with information on how to contact the Magnetawan Fire Department. You can arrange a visit at a time that is convenient for you.

If you are home when our firefighters visit, we encourage you to take a few minutes to speak with them and have your alarms checked.

Working smoke and carbon monoxide alarms provide an important early warning and can save lives.

🔥 Smoke alarms save lives. Make sure yours are working.
☠️ Carbon monoxide is invisible and deadly. Make sure your home is protected.

The Magnetawan Firefighters Association is proud to support the Sundridge-Strong Firefighters Association, in conjunction with the Sundridge-Strong Fire Department with a donation to help further the incredible work of Camp Molly.

Camp Molly is a free, four-day camp dedicated to inspiring young women and youth ages 15–18 by introducing them to the fire service as a viable and rewarding career path. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance from volunteer firefighters and emergency service professionals from across our region, participants gain valuable experience, confidence, and insight into the firefighting profession.

Camp Molly will take place October 1–4 and offers a unique opportunity for participants to experience the challenges, teamwork, and rewards of the fire service in a supportive and encouraging environment.

The Magnetawan Firefighters Association is grateful for the efforts of the Sundridge Strong Firefighters Association, the Sundridge Strong Fire Department, and all the volunteers who make this program possible. Together, we are helping create opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and discover their potential in the fire service.

For registration or more information, visit campmolly.ca or contact the Sundridge Strong Firefighters Association.

What a great day of baseball, teamwork, and camaraderie!

Members of the Southeast Almaguin Fire Department, representing the Burk’s Falls, Perry, Sprucedale, Kearney, and Magnetawan stations, came together for a friendly baseball game filled with teamwork, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs.

Events like this are a great way to strengthen relationships, build camaraderie, and foster the teamwork that is essential both on and off the fireground. The connections made through activities like these help ensure we continue working together effectively while serving our communities.

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success. We look forward to more opportunities to come together, have fun, and strengthen the bonds that make our department strong.

Together, we’re stronger—on the ball field and in service to our communities.
