Invitation to apply for a Supply Arrangement:
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s Ghost Gear Program would like to inform you that we have launched a Request for Supply Arrangement (RFSA) on Canada Buys: RFSA for Ghost Gear Retrieval Services. The purpose of the RFSA is to develop a list of pre-approved suppliers that would be able to respond to the needs of the program for work such as abandoned, lost or discarded fishing gear (ALDFG) retrieval, mapping to identify ALDFG targets, logistics, disposal, and recycling of ALDFG. With the establishment of supply arrangements, the Department will be able to respond to priority and urgent Program requirements by inviting pre-approved suppliers to submit competitive bids for work located in the sectors they have been pre-approved for. As you have shown interest in addressing ALDFG in Canada, we would like to invite you to apply to be considered for pre-approval. The initial application process will be open until October 13, 2026. Ongoing applications will be accepted during April and September each year, starting April 2027. Applications that are pre-approved will be retained until such a time as Canada no longer considers it to be advantageous to maintain the Supply Arrangement. If you should have any questions regarding the application process, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected].

Important Note: The closing date for the initial RFSA solicitation period is the date posted on page 1 of the RFSA Document. The closing date posted on the CanadaBuys webpage serves only to allow for ongoing qualification as outlined in section Supply Arrangement under article 3.1 On-going Opportuni...
