“M’Chigeeng Anishinabek will be a vibrant, progressive, proud, united, Ojibwe-speaking First Nation. Our people will be healthy, self-reliant, respectful of our obligations to Mother Earth, and culturally grounded, showing mutual respect and support for all people.”
To ensure our pages align with our Vision, and to be a safe space for our community to access and share information , any comments or posts that contain abusive language or promote lateral violence will not be tolerated. This is included but not limited to:
- Inappropriate or Abusive Language (including name calling)
- Forms of Lateral Violence (including gossip)
- Cyberbullying
- Slanderous Posts or Comments
- Racist, or Discriminatory posts or comments
We will ensure continued provision of information to our community members in a safe and healthy environment online. We remind our membership that many have access to Facebook including youth and young people, we need to be mindful as to how we conduct ourselves and to do it in a role model way to promote positivity and kindness. please be sure to contact the respective departments to find your answer. COMMUNITY NOTICE: FIRE BAN / FIRE RESTRICTIONS 🔥
Aanii, our community is currently under a Fire Ban / Fire Restrictions. Please help keep everyone safe by following these rules:

• No open fires (including campfires and burn barrels).
• No outdoor burning of any kind unless ban is lifted.
• Use caution with smoking dispose of ci******es safely and completely.
• Be mindful of sparks from vehicles, equipment, and machinery.

No fireworks please.

If you notice any unsafe fire conditions, please report them right away to 705-968-0393.

Committees are one way we can work together in a good way for listening to each other, sharing knowledge, and helping move community priorities going forward. Your time, your voice, and your lived experience matter, especially for the decisions that affect our families and our children.

If you are able, please consider joining a committee and offering your skills—whether it’s community wellness, youth, housing, finance matters, events, communications, or other areas that need dedicated people. Even if you can only help sometimes, your participation is valued.

If you’d like to be involved, please contact the Administration Office at 705-377-5362 by June 30 to share which committee you’re interested in.

The sun is shining, and beautiful let's get outside! Join us for "Stroller Miles," a great way to enjoy the outdoors, get some exercise, and connect with other Parents/ Caregivers. 🪶We are grateful to the Creator for carrying us to this moment, and to our Elders and knowledge keepers for your prayers, teachings, and guidance.❤️
