We had a great time connecting with community members, meeting new faces, and enjoying some wonderful refreshments at the Chamber Meet and Greet!

A big thank you to Bonnie Ruddock from RTO 9 for joining us and sharing valuable tourism insights and opportunities with our community.

We also appreciate the support and attendance from Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands Mayor Corinna Smith-Gatcke, along with Councillors Monique Antoine Hartley and Angela Kelman.

At the Lyndhurst & Seeley’s Bay Chamber of Commerce, we’re proud to be led by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors who are passionate about supporting local businesses and strengthening our community.

Our members are hiring!

We’re hiring for the 2026 season at Hotel Kenney Rideau.

As we begin opening April 30 and gradually roll out more of the season ahead, we are building our team across several parts of the property — including patio service, dining, dockage, food hub operations, and baking across both NutFree Gourmet Bakeshop and the hotel program.

We are currently hiring for:

• Kenney Food Hub Crew
• Guest Experience Crew
• Service Team
• Housekeeping & Property Care
• Kitchen Support – Prep Cook / Dishwasher
• Baker – NutFree Gourmet Bakeshop & Hotel Program

We’re looking for capable, hands-on people who work well in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and care about strong standards, cleanliness, and guest experience.

Community Improvement Plan | Financial Incentive Programs

Are you a business or property owner in the Township of Leeds and the 1000 Islands? Could you use some funding to support a project?

Are you looking to:
➡️ improve the façade of your commercial/mixed-use building;
➡️ improve your commercial/mixed-use building to achieve accessibility,
➡️ create a new secondary dwelling unit or bring an existing secondary unit up to code;
➡️ convert, expand, or redevelop a building for a new or expanded commercial, mixed-use; or other non-residential use; or
➡️ improve buildings and properties used for agriculture-related, agri-tourism, ecotourism, recreation, and/or on-farm diversified uses permitted in the Township’s rural area?

The Community Improvement Plan (CIP) in TLTI is designed to assist with improvements on eligible properties. The CIP Program offers grants through 5 incentive programs with the overall goal of improving our community.

The Township is currently accepting CIP applications for the Spring intake deadline of Friday, May 29, 2026.
